At D&S Care Homes we are always interested in hearing from, or talking to, like minded people who share our values, aims and aspirations for young people and who want to be part of a sector leading company where there will be opportunities for training, qualifications and promotion.  We have a highly competitive remuneration package based on qualifications and hard work.

The minimum qualifications required to work at D&S are those found in Schedule 1 of the Care Council for Wales (Registration) Rules 2007.

These are:-

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health & Social Care – Children and Young People
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 Caring for Children & Young People

A relevant Social Work Qualification, as listed in the regulation rules, also applies.

We have a comprehensive ‘Warner’ type recruitment process which incorporates: –

• A hand written application, including current printed cv
• A one page hand written questions
• An observed group discussion exercise
• A short interview process

The whole process is observed and scored.
